Healing with second skin:
Leave the saniderm on for 1-3 days. If it begins leaking, peel it off early. When removing, peel slowly in the shower under running warm water. Stretch it rather than ripping, if it is very sticky use a skin-safe oil to help remove it.

Once removed, wash off the excess fluid (blood ink and plasma) with an unscented antibacterial soap.

Then begin moisturizing- moisturize once to twice a day with a gentle unscented lotion. If you opt for a thicker greasier lotion like aquaphor, make sure you’re using only a THIN layer.

Do not let the tattoo soak in still water for 3 weeks (bath/pool/lake/hot tub)

Do not expose the tattoo to direct sunlight for extended periods of time for 3 weeks. After it is healed (3-4 weeks), always protect with a high spf sunscreen.

Do not scratch the tattoo. Picking tattoo scabs will affect the way the tattoo heals; be gentle with it!

As the tattoo heals, it will fade. The way it fades/how much it fades is dependent on the ink, the body part it’s on, how you healed it, and how I tattooed it. With that being said touch ups are free, please email me to get a touchup!

Healing with saran wrap:Leave the saran wrap on until you are settled in for the day. Then remove it and, with CLEAN HANDS, wash the tattoo off with gentle unscented soap. You can begin moisturizing with a thin layer of lotion twice daily.

For the first 3-4 days, wash the tattoo daily. Make sure you are wearing clean loose clothes and your sheets are clean. The only difference between using saran wrap and saniderm is that the tattoo will be exposed for the initial closing of the wound--avoid infection by making sure it stays clean!

Refer to directions above for instructions after the first 4 days.
